NASA’s is set to make its second attempt to launch the Artemis 1 on September 3, 2022, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The first attempt on August 29 had to be called off due to technical issue.

It's a significant step toward returning humans to the Moon after a gap of half a century.

Artemis 1 will not carry astronauts, nor land on the moon.

The spacecraft is scheduled to travel to the Moon, deploy a few small satellites, and then put them into orbit.

NASA's goal is to practice spacecraft operation, test the conditions that crew will experience on and around the Moon.

It is the first mission in NASA's Artemis lunar program, which is expected to land the agency's astronauts on the Moon by its third mission in 2025.

Artemis 1 will travel about 1.3 million miles over the course of 42 days.
